South Jersey Storm to host Play It Forward Fall Classic at Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the newly formed Neil J. Levine Memorial Fund and the Go 4 The Goal Foundation.

This past June, the South Jersey Storm baseball team based in Cherry Hill lost their head coach, Neil Levine to cancer at only 47 years old.

To honor his memory, Neil’s children, Sophie and Alex, (who is a member of the South Jersey Storm Baseball Team) created the Neil J. Levine Memorial Fund, which helps to raise money to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Camden County. They are using the money earned to purchase athletic equipment for the kids, get them uniforms and to maintain the fields.

In addition, the South Jersey Storm has formed a partnership with the South Jersey based “Go 4 The Goal” Foundation which helps to support children with cancer and their families by providing financial assistance, granting personal wishes, implementing unique hospital programs, and funding innovative research. One hundred percent of all donations will directly benefit local kids and families.

The South Jersey Storm baseball team is holding their first ever “Play It Forward Fall Classic” baseball tournament on Oct. 6 and Oct. 7 at Cherry Hill Atlantic Little League to help raise money for these two foundations. All of the money raised will be split between these two causes.

Community members are invited to support the cause and donate to the two foundations. Several donation levels are available. For a sponsorship form, email [email protected].

Donations can also be made through Venmo or check. To pay via Venmo, send the money to @sjstorm. To pay by check, make checks payable to South Jersey Storm and mail to South Jersey Storm Baseball, c/0 Debra Janove, 120 Saddlebrook Court, Cherry Hill, NJ, 08003.
