The mural depicts imagery from land, air and sea as well as the famous World War II image of the flag raising on Iwo Jima’s Mount Suribachi in 1945.

“I’m impressed with the murals Emily has done honoring WW I and WW II,” said Mayor David Fleisher. “She is a brilliant young artist, and it’s great to see her using her talents to honor our veterans. The American Legion does so much to uplift our veteran community here in Cherry Hill, and the murals offer a beautiful and meaningful touch to the exterior of the building.”

She was also the winner of last year’s art contest where she had painted a mural depicting WWI imagery.
