Wednesday, Aug. 14

First Chapter Club for Kids: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. The First Chapter Club for Kids is a way to learn about a variety of books and books series.  Participants may enjoy snacks and get a sneak peak into a chapter book. This class will do a quick writing activity and play games or do a craft related to the book. This month the class is reading “The Wild Robot” by Peter Brown. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Marlton Farmers Market: All residents. 4 to 7 p.m.at Evesboro Downs Park (131 Evesboro-Medford Road). The opening day of the 2024 Marlton Farmers Market. Shoppers can once again shop locally-sourced fruits and vegetables, baked goods, home goods, food trucks, artisan products, and other sustainable items. The market will continue to run every Wednesday through Sept. 11. No registration required.

Evesham Township Council Meeting: All residents. 7 p.m. at the Evesham Township Municipal Building. The monthly meeting of the Evesham Township Council. No registration is required.

Thursday, Aug. 15

Marlton Senior Club: Adult Seniors 55 and up. 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center (535 E. Main St.). All senior citizens ages 55 and older are welcome to attend these meetings. The meetings take place every first and third Thursday of the month. Participants enjoy coffee, donuts and regularly scheduled games and other entertainment. No registration required.

Yoga at the Library: Adult Seniors. 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to join the library staff for an all-levels yoga flow with a focus on the foundation of poses.  Participant’s will move through seated and standing poses combining breath-work and alignment. The practice will focus on stretching and strengthening your body while relaxing your mind and spirit. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Are You Game? Game Night at Zed’s: Ages 21 years and older. 6 to 8 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Come out to Zed’s Beer to enjoy a varied selection of games and brews. There will be a mix of classics, as well as strategy games such as Wingspan, Everdell, and Azul. Participants are encouraged to bring friends. Zed’s beer is located at 19 North Maple Ave in Marlton.

Monday, Aug. 19

Red Cross Blood Drive: Adults. 2 to 7 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us. A blood donation drive hosted by the American National Red Cross nonprofit. Those interested in donating must schedule their appointment at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Gentle Chair Yoga: Adult seniors. 4 to 5 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Senior residents are invited to join this gentle chair yoga class led by a certified yoga instructor. Chair yoga is a wonderful way to move the body and increase flexibility using a chair for support. Perfect for those who are very stiff, have limited mobility or have minor injuries. Participants are encouraged to dress comfortably. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Cozy Crochet Club: Ages 12 to 17 years. 5 to 6 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Residents are invited to bring a current project and get cozy with fellow crocheters or start a new project from the library’s pattern selection. Beginners are welcome to attend and may learn from a library staff member. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Free Summer Indoor Concert: All residents. 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gibson House Community Center (535 E. Main St.). Evesham Township’s indoor summer concerts are back. Residents can enjoy free indoor concerts in the comfort of air conditioning every Monday night at 7 p.m. through Aug. 26. The August 19 performance is Unforgettable.
