Calling all vets for 4th of July parade

The Moorestown July Fourth Committee will present its annual holiday parade on Thursday, July 4.

It will step off at noon and proceed along Chester Avenue and Main Street. This year’s theme is Grand Old Flag, a patriotic tribute and celebration of the nation’s colors. All civic and community groups are welcome to march in the parade free of charge and should register ahead of time.

The committee has extended a special invitation to all veterans in Moorestown to ride on the military float, a parade favorite. Assembly will be at the intersection of Central and Chester avenues and participants should arrive early enough to be counted and find their places in the line-up. Veterans are asked to wear clothing representing their service, such as a ball cap or T-shirt.

For questions, contact the committee’s veteran coordinator Alan Van Saun at [email protected]. For more details about the parade and ways to support the all-volunteer effort, visit www.moorestown4thjuly.org.
