The Camden County 2016 Seasonal Influenza Immunization Program will visit Cherry Hill on Oct. 7 and Oct. 19.
Camden County is kicking off its 2016 Seasonal Influenza Immunization Program on Sept. 28. The county’s flu shot program will visit 16 locations within Camden County this fall, including two separate visits to Cherry Hill Township.
Flu shot clinics are currently scheduled for Friday, Oct. 7 at the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Building from 9 a.m. to noon, and for Wednesday, Oct. 19 at the Katz JCC from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Seniors, pregnant women and chronically ill people are considered high priority groups to receive flu shots. Shots are also recommended for people with weakened immune or cardiovascular systems, or with chronic metabolic diseases, renal dysfunction or blood disorders.
Kids must be 9 years or older to receive a shot and must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 9 years old need two shots, one month apart, and should be seen by a pediatrician.
