The school was placed on lockdown Wednesday after an anonymous threat was made around 11 a.m. Students were dismissed from school at 3 p.m.
Police gave the all clear at Beck Middle School in Cherry Hill shortly after 2 p.m. after the school was placed on lockdown for about three hours on Wednesday following an anonymous threat.
Beck will have a normal dismissal today. If your child rides the bus, please let them take the bus home.
Beck Middle School announced on Twitter students would be dismissed as normal at 3 p.m. today. In addition, all after school and evening activities at the school have been cancelled for Wednesday.

In a video posted to Twitter, Superintendent Joe Meloche said the school was transitioning from a lockdown to a lockout and police would continue their investigation after dismissal. Parents were instructed to allow any kids who ride the bus home to take the bus and not come to the school. He said the school and students were safe and secure during the lockdown.

Cherry Hill school officials reported on the district’s website the school received an anonymous threat on Wednesday morning. The school was put on lockdown shortly before 11 a.m. and Cherry Hill Police responded to the school.
Photos posted on Twitter showed the students sitting in the gym during the lockdown. One photo showed Cherry Hill Chief of Police William Monaghan addressing the students during the event.
