Sarah Baumgarten and Joseph Krupa to perform in special concert on March 17

The performance of “No One is Alone: The Jewish Tradition on Broadway,” will take place at 2 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom.

The Bob and Estelle Richter Hazak Fund presents a special performance of “No One is Alone: The Jewish Tradition on Broadway” by Soprano Sarah Baumgarten on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom, 1901 Kresson Road, in Cherry Hill. Enjoy works by Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bernstein, Loesser, Bock and Harnick, Sondheim, Hamlisch and Schwartz. Baumgarten will be accompanied by pianist Joseph Krupa.

Baumgarten earned her master’s of music degree in voice performance and pedagogy from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University and bachelor’s of music degree in voice performance from Pennsylvania State University.

Baumgarten has no trouble showcasing her personality through the repertoire she performs. Favorite roles include Musetta from “La Bohème,” and Noémie from “Cendrillon.” She has been featured with Annapolis Opera, OperaWorks, IVAI, Delaware Valley Opera Company, Asheville Lyric Opera and Garden State Opera

Pianist Joseph Krup holds a bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers University and a master of music degree in piano performance from the University of Calgary, plus additional studies at the Banff Centre and Westminster Choir College.

A Cherry Hill resident, Krup serves as Minister of Music at the First Presbyterian Church in Salem and teaches private piano students throughout the South Jersey area.

Tickets are $10 per person in advance. Students under 18 are free when attending with an adult, with a limit of two children per adult.
