Winterfest returns to downtown Haddonfield from Friday, Jan. 19, through Sunday, Jan. 21, complete with shopping and soups.
On the first day, ice sculptures will line the business district, and visitors are encouraged to take pictures and share them #DowntownHaddonfield.
The popular souper bowl event on Saturday will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the patio at Kings Road Brewing Company. Soup lovers will sample recipes from Haddonfield restaurants who will participate in a soup competition, with ticket sales benefiting Cathedral Kitchen in Camden.
Among restaurants in the lineup will be Bread Board Plus, Café Lift, Crumb, Earth Eats, Gass & Main, Haddon Culinary, Sparrow’s, Verona Ristorante Italiano and Wanda BYOB. Tickets are available at www.downtownhaddonfield.com and with each ticket, patrons can vote for their favorite soup. The winning restaurant will get a trophy. Â
Visitors can take pictures with the popular children’s character, Bluey, at Kings Court on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., sponsored by the Partnership for Haddonfield. Visitors can also find life-size characters at other businesses and take part in a photo booth in Haddy Lane on Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Still other merchants will offer sales.Â
Sales and savings in stores at many Haddonfield retailers will happen through the Winterfest weekend!
The openings of two new Haddonfield businesses – 23 Stems at 23 Kings Highway East and Soffiato Via 221 B at Kings Highway East – will be celebrated with ribbon cuttings on Saturday afternoon.Â
“We are excited to bring Winterfest back to Downtown Haddonfield, says Michael Marciante, executive director of the Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH). “The PfH events committee, which Mayor (Colleen) Bianco Bezich chairs, was committed to planning a family event weekend where visitors can shop the sales at our retail stores, take pictures with ice sculptures and Bluey, and sample delicious soups created by Haddonfield’s fantastic restaurants … ” Â
