The following message is from the Cherry Hill Public Works Department:
As you clean up from your holiday festivities, remember that a number of items can be recycled either curbside in your big blue bin, or by dropping them off at the Department of Public Works located at 1 Perina Blvd.
Christmas trees can be recycled curbside as part of your weekly yard-waste pickup, or taken to the designated tree-drop location that is set up in the Public Works yard at 1 Perina Boulevard. Remember: trees with tinsel/lights, and those that are wrapped in plastic bags will not be collected curbside. Artificial trees are considered bulk and are to be placed near the green bin- not inside of them. If they area missed on regular collection day, please contact the Department of Public Works the following day.
Old electronics and broken/unused Christmas lights are considered e-waste, and can’t be recycled at the curb or in your blue bin. However, they can be dropped off at the e-waste shed in the Public Works yard.
Cardboard, wrapping paper, and cards can be recycled in your big blue recycling bin on your regular trash day. But anything with glitter or foil belongs in the trash! Generally, the fancier the wrapping paper, the less recyclable it is. Cardboard must be broken down and placed in your bin. Excess cardboard can be dropped off in two designated dumpsters to the rear of the Public Works yard.
