A. Russell Knight Elementary School, Richard Stockton Elementary School and Rosa International Middle School all received the designation on Tuesday.
Cherry Hill Public Schools’ character education program took another leap forward on Tuesday. District officials announced that three Cherry Hill schools have been designated as National Schools of Character by Character.org.
A. Russell Knight Elementary School, Richard Stockton Elementary School and Rosa International Middle School all received the designation. Only 83 schools in the United States were named as a National School of Character in 2017. It is the second time Stockton and Rosa have each been named National Schools of Character. Knight is receiving the designation for the first time.
Schools are selected for the designation after going through an evaluation process on how the communities develop character within their students. Over the past 10 years, eight Cherry Hill schools have been received the designation at least once.
The schools will be honored at Character.org’s National Forum on Character Education next October in Arlington, Va. Check back with www.cherryhillsun.com for more details on this story.
