Veterans Day brings pride and honor for Moorestown residents

Veterans Day, the annual recognition of those who have served in the U.S. military during wartime and peacetime, brings with it an opportunity to honor local residents who have proudly represented their country. For Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living in Moorestown, this included celebrating eight residents. The assisted living community paid tribute with a luncheon and recognition ceremony.

Cambridge’s military veteran residents include Leo Italiano, Navy; Raymond Lavanture, Marines, First Lieutenant; Richard Mathis, Air Force, Airman First Class; John Parkin, Army, Corporal; Walter Rider, Army, Captain; Joseph Sambuco, Army, Sergeant; Clifford Simon, Army, Private First Class; Marcia Thibeault, Air Force, Airman.

“We appreciate our veterans every day, but the holiday offered an opportunity for our community to come together and thank Leo, Raymond, Richard, John, Walter, Joseph, Clifford and Marcia for their courage and commitment,” said Cambridge Enhanced Senior Living Executive Director Kathleen Leypoldt. “We are honored to be the place they call home.”
