Food for thought at senior center

Mabel Kay Senior Center's 'Something to Chew On' speaker series returns this September with a new lineup.

Mabel Kay Senior Center has announced its fall lineup for the Something to Chew On lunch and speaker program, on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

The program is free, with a suggested donation of $3 for non-residents to cover lunch. Registration is required.

The speaker lineup is:

  • Sept. 13: Greg Hambleton, regional theater director and administrator, on life in the theater
  • Sept. 27: Haddonfield police representatives with K-9 Blue
  • Oct. 11: Jacquie Miller and Kassinda Fuller, from United Methodist Communities, on how to choose a retirement community
  • Oct. 25: Mary Beth Lewis, of the Alzheimer’s Association, on the top 10 warning signs of the illness
