Those who are struggling with substance abuse and have been thinking about seeking help can do so at the Delran Township Police Department on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saturday, June 3
For his June “Serve with Senator Singleton” event, state Sen. Troy Singleton will partner with the Burlington County Parks System to clean up litter on Amico Island. The event will occur at Amico Island, 81 Norman Ave., Delran, on Saturday, June 3, from 9-11 a.m.
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to join the senator in the clean-up effort. The Burlington County Parks System has worked hard to maintain the easy accessibility of trails, and the senator will assist that effort by ensuring that they are also litter free. Delran Public Works Yard is open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Monday, June 12
The American Red Cross asks people to book a time to give blood or platelets now to address a recent drop in donation appointments that could lead to fewer transfusions for patients in the weeks ahead. Type O blood donors are especially needed to ensure a strong blood supply.

Delran Green Team
Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave. Upcoming meeting is scheduled for June 14.
Delran Seniors Club
June 13 will be the last meeting until Sept. 12, The Club meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road. We start at 1 p.m. with a complete lunch (cost of $7), followed by speakers suggested by members or local organizations. We have opened the Club to neighboring community residents who are 55 plus. Annual dues are $10.There are at least two day trips a year through JC Tours.
Township resident members pay $25 and non-resident or non-members pay $100, with priority given to members. On June 15, the club will head to Toms River to do a paddleboat luncheon tour and in October the club once again will travel to the Shore Club for a Frankie Valli/Four Seasons Revue. The Club’s Spring trip is still in the planning stage.
In December, the Club enjoys an evening Christmas Party rather than a regular meeting with a catered buffet dinner, DJ, and an open bar (beer and wine).
Consider joining the Club for fun and fellowship. Meet new friends and chat with neighbors. The Club has 50/50’s and a door prize every meeting.
