An 18-year-old Williamstown man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old male, also from Williamstown.
On Sunday, April 16, at approximately 3:33 p.m., officers from the Monroe Township Police
Department were dispatched to a residence on Chestnut Street for the report of a male who had been shot. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim who had sustained a single gunshot wound to the head, according to police.
A suspect, Nasir D. Robinson-Sanders, was present at the scene and taken into custody by police. Immediate medical attention was rendered to the victim, who was first transported to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township and then to Jefferson facilities in Philadelphia. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased. An autopsy of the victim conducted on April 17 by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner’s Office ruled the cause of death as gunshot wound and the manner of death as homicide.
Robinson-Sanders also faces a charge of an unlawful possession a weapon. He was processed and then lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility pending further proceedings.
