Senior Tax Freeze program deadline is Oct. 31

Program reimburses eligible seniors and people with disabilities for property taxes.

The Senior Tax Freeze Program reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their principal residence (main home). To qualify, you must meet all the eligibility requirements for each year from the base year through the application year. The requirements can be viewed at https://www.nj.gov/treasury/taxation/ptr/eligibility.shtml. 

You can still file for the 2021 Senior Freeze. The deadline for 2021 applications is Oct. 31, 2022.
