Sept. 25 marks Cherry Hill Public Library’s (CHPL) Fall Festival, and from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a scarecrow contest installation. With some brain power and a little courage, the community is encouraged to have a heart and make a scarecrow that will have a home at CHPL this season.
Prizes will be awarded and some supplies are provided. All materials can be picked up in the library administrative office beginning Monday, Sept. 12 and must be picked up by Friday, Sept. 23. Scarecrow building will take place at home and then be installed by you at CHPL on Sunday, Sept. 25.
Registration is $25 per entry. Supplies provided with registration include straw/hay, pantyhose, burlap sacks, twine, newspaper and wood stake. Registration is required: Visit www.chplnj.org or the administration office at the library to register. A full refund will be provided until one week prior to the start of the event.
The fall festival at CHPL will feature games, contests, activities and prizes and will take place from noon to 2 p.m. at the library parking lot.
