Gloucester County has partnered with Civic Operations Group to launch a new initiative, the Gloucester County Community Outreach Team. This will allow us to conduct a door-to-door outreach to help provide information and resources to Gloucester County residents.
The Community Outreach Team will be going door-to-door daily in Mantua, Woodbury and Glassboro beginning April 18, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. New towns will be selected and visited each month.
“We are asking you to urge residents to please take a moment to speak with the Gloucester County Community Outreach Team,” Director Frank J. DiMarco said. “The Gloucester County Community Outreach Team will be able to connect you with resources like rental assistance, veterans medical appointments, food and nutrition programs, employment assistance and more.”
All answers are confidential and will assist the county in better serving them and getting the community much-needed governmental resources. These resources include assistance with housing, veterans services, seniors services, employment, public health and animal adoption.
“We see the need to connect our residents with the programs and services the county has to offer. Many of these programs are free and will benefit families and individuals in need,” said Deputy Director Heather Simmons.
Members of the Community Outreach Team will be credentialed with identification badges as the “Gloucester County Community Outreach Team” and will be wearing bright yellow safety vests while they are working in the community.
