Bomb threat at Katz Jewish Community Center turns up negative

The following release is from the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Tuesday March 8, 2022 at approximately 8:40 a.m. police responded to the KatzĀ  Jewish Community Center, at 1301 Springdale Road, for the report of a bomb threat.Ā 

Police and Investigators from the Cherry Hill Police Department responded on scene andĀ  were assisted by federal agents with the F.B.I. as well as several K-9ā€™s from the BurlingtonĀ  County Sheriffā€™s Department. The building was self-evacuated and swept for explosives with negative results. The JCC was scheduled to reopen at approximately 5 p.m. TheĀ  Cherry Hill Police Department commends the JCC Staff for their response and assistanceĀ  and appreciates the cooperation of local residents and parents that were on location.Ā
