Bowling for charity

The Remington and Vernick Engineers Charity Committee hosted its 17th annual charity bowling tournament on Saturday, March 26 at Baker Lanes in Cherry Hill. This year’s event drew more than 1,600 bowlers of all ages and through sponsorships and donations, raised over $60,000 from this one-day event. This year’s proceeds will benefit five local charities — The Mary Anne Mazanec Ovarian Cancer Foundation, Ellie Koerner Leukemia Fund, the Canuso Foundation, Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation, and the Little Rock Foundation.

“We are thrilled to once again help the communities we represent”, said Remington and Vernick Engineers President, Edward Vernick. “The event held at Baker Lanes has grown each year over the past 17 years. The employees of Remington and Vernick recognize the responsibilities we have go beyond the engineering, surveying and planning services we provide as professionals. They go to the heart of the communities we represent. We will strive to continue our help for those in their time of need.”

The Remington and Vernick Engineers Employee Charity Committee was established in 1990 by employee volunteers. The committee has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to needy individuals and organizations throughout the tri-state area.

Remington & Vernick Engineers is one of the oldest engineering firms in the country, founded in 1901 by J.C. Remington. The firm provides full engineering and planning services, as well as inspection, contract administration and survey services.
