Police say driver crashed into a car, fled, crashed into a house

Police said a man first crashed his Honda Accord into another car in the parking lot of a Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Audubon, then fled the scene — and presently crashed into a house in Haddonfield, according to the Courier-Post.

The unidentified man allegedly hit the first car at the pharmacy on Cuthbert Boulevard near Hood Road on Wednesday morning, leaving the woman in the other car with minor injuries.

The suspect then allegedly fled south on Hood Road, which turns into Hopkins Road — and while crossing Kings Highway, he lost control of the vehicle, jumped the curb and crashed into the corner of the house’s sunroom.

A resident of the house, Rosemary LaMaina, told the Courier she was in the shower when the car hit at about 11 a.m, and she thought at first it was an earthquake.

Police said the driver was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. LaMaina’s daughter, Toni, told the Courier, “The man had a lot of blood on his face and he wasn’t moving.”
