On Dec. 14, Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity will present the Russell family, the affiliate’s 50th family, with keys to their new Habitat home during a special Christmas home dedication ceremony.
Home sponsors, volunteers, and community leaders will gather from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 306 Cleveland Ave. in Glassboro, N.J. to welcome Anthony, Cynthia, and their two young boys home.
Because volunteers gave the gift of their time and their talents, and our generous donors gave monetary contributions, the Russell family will start to pay an affordable mortgage and will achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future.
“Because our children are so young they have no idea what it is to have a room of their own, decorated to their liking with all their toys and books, they are going to be so happy and that’s all we can ask for,” said Cynthia Russell. “Purchasing a Habitat home is literally life changing for so many reasons. A place for our children to call a forever home! Somewhere they will enjoy their childhood and make many memories. We are so blessed.”
Sponsors of the homes include Bank of America, Costo, Holman Foundation, Investors Bank, M&T Bank, Ocean First Foundation, PSEG Foundation, Roma Foundation, State Farm Foundation, Walmart Foundation, Wawa Foundation, and Wells Fargo Foundation. The 0% interest mortgage is provided by First Harvest Credit Union.
