Obituary: Corinne (Renee) Galer Cutler

Corinne (Renee) Galer Cutler, 76, passed away on Jan. 4, 2014, in Needham, Mass. Renee was born in Boston on Oct. 30, 1937. After being married, she lived in Philadelphia and then for more than 35 years in Indianapolis. She is survived by her son Jay (Sally) Cutler of Fishers, Ind.; daughters Tracey (Steve) Yarnall of Haddonfield, and Dana (Mike) Yerger of Englewood, Fla. Her grandsons Adam Cutler, Kevin Cutler, and Jack Yarnall knew her as their Momma Renee; She is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Resnick of Chestnut Hill, Mass., who took such wonderful care of Renee over the past several months, along with her niece Linda (Brian) Howard (son, Stephen) of Framingham, Mass., and nephew John (Alicia) Resnick (daughter, Kylie) of Winchester, Mass. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Stuart Cutler.

Renee will also be greatly missed by her many extended family members and her dear friends in Indianapolis, who fondly remember family gatherings, girls’ weekends, and enjoying many lunch outings and movies.

Renee attended the University of Pennsylvania and worked for People’s Bank and the National Bank of Indianapolis for several years in teller training. She also worked in office management for the Center for Interfaith Cooperation in Indianapolis. A devoted reader and lifelong learner, after her retirement Renee served as a volunteer at the Pike Branch of the Indianapolis Public Library. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Indianapolis, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent Foundation, 8402 Harcourt Road, 46260.
