The Tears Foundation to open South Jersey child loss center on Feb. 20

Public event in Palmyra will introduce foundation, services to the community

The Tears Foundation, a worldwide child loss support organization, will be holding a ribbon-cutting and grand opening of its new center for child loss at 111 W. Broad St. in Palmyra on Saturday, Feb. 20. A private ribbon-cutting will be held with Palmyra Mayor Gina Ragomo Tait, with a grand opening open to the public from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This will be one of five Tears Foundation child loss centers around the globe, and it will aim to bring hope to the community by providing emotional support to those who have lost a child. There will be resources available to families, including a lending library and support groups. The mission of the Tears Foundation is to compassionately lift a financial burden from families who have lost a child by providing funds to assist with the cost of burial or cremation services. Families can also access comprehensive bereavement care through the foundation in the form of grief support groups and peer companions.
