Beverley Anne Davies Kolb, a resident of Moorestown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Dec. 20. Beverley was born in Forty-Fort, Pa. on March 27, 1926. She was the daughter of Wesley Evans Davies and Gertrude Mary Gordon Davies from Kingston and Shavertown, Pa.
Beverley attended Wyoming Seminary (high school) where she played varsity field hockey. She received her bachelor of science from Drexel’s College of Home Economics. She was employed by Drexel as a dietician in their cafeteria, when she met her future husband, John (Jack) Kolb. Beverley also served as an assistant professor of dietetics and food management in the Drexel College of Home Economicsand was a registered ADA Dietician. She worked for Stouffer Restaurants and Stouffer Management Systems until retiring to raise her family.
Beverley was involved in various civic and social organizations, as a member of Posomokin Questers, Settlers and various bridge groups. She had been active on both the Riverton Bowling and Golf teams and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown. Beverley enjoyed traveling and had visited many countries. Her travel experience culminated in a 91-day world cruise.
Beverley was most proud of her four children and their families. She loved each of them dearly. Growing up as an only child, she dreamed of having a large family. Beverley and her husband, Jack had four children. They lived in Willingboro, before moving to Moorestown in 1973. Beverley enjoyed gardening and is fondly remembered for her sharp mind and wonderful sense of humor.
Beverley is survived by her husband of 63 years, John W. Kolb; daughter, Susan K Nicholson (William H), son, Kevin Wesley Kolb (Lisa Suchowolec); daughter Pamela K. Skowronski and son, Eric Russell Kolb (Barbara Gerard). She was the grandmother of Elizabeth Davies Nicholson, Laura Skowronski Downs (Paul), Megan Nicholson Teitelbaum (Eric), Hannah Skowronski Puglia (Andrew), Greggory Leon Skowronski, Emily Marie Kolb, John Lawrence Kolb and Sarah Joan Kolb. She was also the great grandmother of Dorothy Louise Downs, Cedar Hugh Teitelbaum, Ophelia Anne Downs and Wesley Grey Puglia.
Due to the present COVID-19 restrictions a private interment will be held in the Presbyterian Cemetery. A memorial service was live streamed on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. In person attendance was limited to family only.
