The Eastern Camden County Regional School District sent a letter to parents earlier this week informing the community that the district is currently investigating multiple reported COVID-19 cases within the school.
According to the letter, the newly enacted CDC redefinition of ‘close contact’ has enlarged the number of persons required to quarantine. Therefore, Eastern Regional High School will implement a 100 percent remote instructional bell schedule for Thursday, Oct. 29 and Friday, Oct. 30.
No students are to report to the high school or ELA campus until further notice due to the current investigation. All sports and after-school activities are suspended while school is closed due to the COVID-19 investigations.Â
“As soon as possible further communication will be provided, pending the completion of the investigation, contact tracing protocols, and consultation with public health officials,” said the letter. “An extension to 14-days may be necessary. The status of this situation is fluid.”
