COVID-19 cases up again in Gloucester County on May 20

The number of cases has increased three straight days as the county reported 38 cases on May 20.

COVID-19 cases are up for a third consecutive day in Gloucester County, with health officials reporting 38 cases on Wednesday, May 20.

The number of cases is a small increase from the 28 reported on May 19 and the second-highest single-day total over the last 10 days. The county’s total COVID-19 case count is now at 1,971.

Here is a breakdown of the May 20 positive COVID-19 cases by municipality:

  • Clayton – 1
  • Deptford – 4
  • East Greenwich – 2
  • Franklin Twp. – 2
  • Glassboro – 3
  • Harrison Twp. – 2
  • Mantua – 1
  • Monroe Twp. – 3
  • National Park – 1
  • Newfield – 2
  • Paulsboro – 1
  • Pitman – 1
  • South Harrison Twp. – 1
  • Swedesboro – 1
  • Washington Twp. – 8
  • West Deptford – 2
  • Westville – 1
  • Woodbury – 2

Gloucester County also reported the deaths of two individuals ill with COVID-19. The deceased are a 40-year-old woman from Pitman and a 77-year-old woman from Washington Twp.
