State Sen. Troy Singleton (D) of New Jersey’s Seventh Legislative District speaks at Rowan College at Burlington County during an event last year.

New Jersey Senator Troy Singleton announced that he is partnering with Facebook to host a Boost with Facebook event in Burlington County.

The free event will be at Mt. Laurel’s Rowan College at Burlington County in Votta Hall Friday, April 3. Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., with the event running from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Senator Singleton will deliver welcome remarks before the digital skills training for small businesses and individuals. The event will feature a presentation by a Facebook expert on how to use the platform effectively to maximize business potential. Anyone interested in attending can register at bwfmountlaurel.splashthat.com.

“The Boost with Facebook event is an opportunity for small businesses and individuals to take their Facebook and Instagram marketing skills to the next level,” the senator said. “We know the power of social media in the 21st century and we want to ensure that small businesses and entrepreneurs have the skills they need to promote their companies, products, and services on these platforms.”

The senator and Facebook are co-hosting Boost with Facebook in partnership with the following business organizations: Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Southern New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and the National Association of Women Business Owners – South Jersey Chapter.

“I am especially grateful to the chambers and business organizations who are partnering with us on this event. They represent a wide array and diverse segment of our business community – Burlington County, South Jersey, veterans, women, Hispanics and African-Americans – and we are thankful for their participation,” Singleton said.
