The second show in our 2024 summer concert series will be Thursday and will feature Parrot Beach, a Jimmy Buffet tribute. On Thursday, Aug. 15, The Beat Tells will entertain with their tribute to the Beatles. All shows start at 7:30 p.m. and will include the Dooney’s Pub beer garden and a variety of food trucks open an hour earlier.

The AWA (Animal Welfare Association) continues to offer free, half-hour Barking Lot Sips & Brews” classes for kids. The next sessions are on July 26 and Aug. 20 at 6 and 7 p.m. For more information, visit awanj.org or call Meggin Olivo at (856) 424-2288, extension 113.

The Voorhees police department will host its annual Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Voorhees Town Center. Residents will be able to meet and interact with officers, K-9 units and first responders. Activities will include a look a police vehicles, drone displays, food trucks, a petting zoo and bounce houses. For more information, contact Eric Camm at [email protected]. Voorhees is once again partnering with Morey’s Piers to offer discounted ride tickets at the latter’s amusement areas on the Boardwalk in Wildwood. Tickets available to residents and non-residents can be obtained in person from the office of the township clerk at (856) 429-7757 and are payable by cash only.
