Medford soccer: ‘We share the same values’

The Medford Soccer Club searched for a new sponsor and partner for the township’s soccer community for months.

It found the perfect fit with 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy (3DPT), located in Medford and 10 other locations in South Jersey and Philadelphia. The business was selected for both recreational and travel soccer in the upcoming spring season and at least the next four years.

“We are in a health-care field related to sports, so it made sense,” 3DPT co-founder Jeff Sallade said, “and for me, ‘it’s kind of like coming full circle.’ I grew up playing soccer in Medford, my kids played for MSC (Medford Soccer Club) and I coached for MSC.

“Making the move to team up with MSC is an honor for us. We share the same values of wanting to make a difference in the community and positively impacting athletes, and will work together to do this for years to come.”

President Jim Jackson said that what drew the club to 3DPT is its overall dedication and commitment to their entire Medford youth organization.

“They really have good core values and believe in helping out the kids,” he explained. “What I like about 3DPT is what they do for our players within the program, from the injury preventative training to concussion awareness and testing. And they provide great PT (physical therapy) for kids who may unfortunately get injured.”

If not the largest, the Medford Soccer Club is one of the biggest soccer organizations in the area, with close to 1,500 athletes and well over 100 teams within the recreation and travel program, from pre-K to the high-school level, according to Jackson.

“We probably rely on the help of close to 200 volunteer coaches and trainers that give their time to help and develop (the kids) in the sport of soccer,” he said.

The MSC recreational and travel players will see 3DPT logos on their new uniforms, but the partnership will go well beyond that. 3DPT will support players, coaches and parents through injury prevention training and education, sponsorships, support at events and other services.

“This partnership truly brings great benefits to our players and helps us deliver on our goal to provide players with the opportunity to develop a solid foundation of soccer skills while playing in a fun and supportive environment,” Jackson noted.

The club’s new uniforms – two jerseys for away and home games – have already received positive feedback from the players, including 13-year-old Riley Berberich, who plays center and midfield for Team Galaxy 2011.

“I like how the uniform has two different colors,” she said.
