Cherry Hill native recognized among military enlistees

Special to The Sun
Cherry Hill graduate is recognized for joining the Marine Corps a year early.

Cherry Hill native Rose Fein was one of more than 100 military enlistees recognized in May by the Navy Federal Credit Union and Our Community Salutes to celebrate the quarter million new enlistees nationwide this year.

The celebration was one of more than 40 across the country to showcase support for military members through all stages of life.

For Fein, who graduated high school a full year early to follow her dream of joining the Marines, the celebration marked a new chapter in her life: financial independence. At only 17, she will have to manage her finances and learn what it’s like to receive a steady paycheck for the first time.

Navy Federal has been a steadfast provider of volunteer and philanthropic support to Our Community Salutes for 16 years. Fein and other event attendees have access to an online resource hub with tools to guide them into military life.
