First Chapter Club for Kids: Ages 8 to 12 years. 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. The First Chapter Club for Kids is a way to learn about a variety of books and books series. Participants may enjoy snacks and get a sneak peak into a chapter book. This class will do a quick writing activity and play games or do a craft related to the book. Civil War from a Private’s Perspective: Adult Seniors. 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Evesham Library. Join Civil War lecturer and reenactor Garry Wetstein for a discussion about life as a private in the Union Army. Wetstein will discuss motivations for joining, the enlistment process, camp life and the experiences of battle. A variety of uniforms and equipment will be on hand to show and if time permits, some audience participation may be included. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.

Setting an example as an enthusiastic participator in music activities is the best thing a parent, grandparent, or caregiver can do to help set a child on the road to a lifelong love of music. Adults don’t need to have music skills – just need a desire to play and have fun with their children. Registration is required at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
