Three Deptford High School students have been named the township’s citizens of the month for their actions in saving two of their peers when they found them unresponsive in their vehicles. Shane Applegate, a 17-year-old junior; Zedeno Hernandez, an 18-year-old senior; and Shawn McLaughlin, a 16-year-old sophomore, were recognized by the mayor and council at a Feb. 5 meeting. .
