South Jersey NOW Alice Paul chapter meeting explores an alternate faith

Meeting will take place online on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The South Jersey NOW Alice Paul chapter will host an online meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, with the topic, “Spiritual But Not Religious (SBNR),” by Dr. Linda Mercadante.

Estimates of Americans who claim to be SBNR range from 22% to as high as a third, but for millennials, it could be upwards of 50%, according to the API. In any case, the population of SBNRs is growing exponentially and no generation is without its share.

Mercadante has interviewed hundreds of SBNRs, publishing her research in “Belief Without Borders: Inside the Minds of the Spiritual But Not Religious.” Her presentation will help people understand why so many are claiming the SBNR label, what they mean by it and what the wave of change may mean for the U.S.

The event will begin with a social time at 7 p.m. Register in advance at
