Police vet retires

“Sgt. Christy will be missed, and we wish him the best in the next chapter of his life,” Berlin police said in a statement.

Berlin Borough police have announced the retirement of Sgt. Jason Christy, who takes his leave after an injury and a decade on the job.

Christy was hired as a patrol officer in October of 2013 and soon became heavily involved in proactive operations and deep investigations. He was then assigned to the detective bureau, and in 2018, attained the rank of sergeant to serve as a shift supervisor.
