Halloween Weekend Curfew

Trick or Treaters, Halloween is right around the corner! I wanted to share an update with all of our residents from the Washington Township Police Department (WTPD). Residents, if you are under the age of 17, there is an 8 p.m. curfew. Halloween will be celebrated in township on Tuesday, Oct. 31, Trick or Treating will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Police officers will be patrolling our residential street. Be on the lookout for the Community Outreach HUMVEE with officers handing out candy. If you have any question regarding the curfew, please reach out to WTDP at (856) 589-6650. I wish everyone who celebrates a fun and healthy Halloween.

Upcoming Township Events

I would like to take this opportunity to announce some upcoming events in Washington Township.

  • Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov. 11 at Franklin Atkinson Memorial Park at 11 a.m.
  • The Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. Located at Washington Lake Park Amphitheater. Winter Village opens at 5 p.m. Rain date is Dec 2.
  • Magic of Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. located at Olde Stone Village.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the park for these events. Look out for upcoming announcements such as, registering for Light Up the Township and our annual Veterans Wall of Honor ceremony which will take place in December.

The municipal building will be closed Friday, Nov. 10 in observance of Veterans Day.
