County to begin road resurfacing work on Bordentown-Crosswicks and Chesterfield Roads

Burlington County plans to begin resurfacing sections of Bordentown-Crosswicks Road and Chesterfield Road next week as part of its State Funded Overlay Program.

Pavement milling and overlay work on two miles of Bordentown-Crosswicks Road, also known as County Route 672 and Buttonwood Street, is scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 16. A 1.5-mile portion of Chesterfield Road (also called County Route 660, Main Street and Church Street) will also be milled and repaved.

The work on Bordentown-Crosswicks will occur between Route 528 and Ward Avenue. The work area on Chesterfield Road will be between Route 677 and Crosswicks Creek.

The work on both sections is expected to take about three weeks to complete.

Traffic will be maintained through the work areas, but motorists using the road will likely experience delays and are advised to seek alternative routes.
