On Oct. 1, the Mantua VFW will be hosting its annual “Running for Vets” Event, and the signup is live.
This will feature a 5K and a 1-mile walk for those interested. Walk-in entry is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and the event starts at 10 a.m. rain or shine. There will be refreshments, food and an award ceremony at the Mantua VFW Post following the run.
The 5K price is $30 for adults and $25 for all students. For the 1-mile walk, the price is $25 for adults and $20 for students. All event proceeds go to NJ Run for the Fallen and the Mantua VFW.
