Monroe police release photo of van involved in fatal hit and run

Police have released a photo of a white Ford van involved in a fatal hit an run on Aug. 4, according to the Monroe Township Police Department.

“We are looking for a Ford E Series van, white in color,” police said in a social media post. “The van will have front right lamp assembly completely damaged along with front grill damage and possible damage to the hood.”

The van was traveling west on U.S. 322 (Black Horse Pike) approximately 500 west of its intersection with Corkery Lane when it allegedly struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway. The front right side of the van contacted the pedestrian in the roadway. After contact, the van left the scene without stopping while continuing west on Black Horse Pike, police said.

The pedestrian – a 45-year-old Williamstown man – sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene, police said.
