Straight… to Treatment

Those who are struggling with substance abuse and have been thinking about seeking help can do so at the Delran Township Police Department on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Planning Board meeting at 7 p.m., Delran Township Municipal Building.

Saturday, Aug. 5

Public Works Yard Open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Sunday, Aug. 6

Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser from 4-7 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Riverside American Legion Post 146, Riverside. Adults $10, Children 5-12 $8 and children under 5 are free. All proceeds benefit the American Legion post.

Tuesday, Aug. 8 

Township Council meeting at 7 p.m., 900 S. Chester Ave.

Summer Camp

Delran Township is hosting sessions of summer camp for children ages 5-12. Next session is from Aug. 7-11 at Delran Community Park. For more information visit www.delrantownship.org.

New municipal building hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Delran Green Team

Delran Green Team meets the second Wednesday of the month at 7:30 in the Delran Municipal Building, 900 S. Chester Ave.

Delran Seniors Club

First meeting of the year set for Tuesday, Sept. 12. The Delran Seniors’ Club is now open to all area residents 55 plus and we welcome new members. Our meetings are held at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Bridgeboro Road on the second Tuesday of the month. Meetings begin at 1 p.m. with a full lunch ($7) and end no later than 4 p.m. with door prize and 50/50 drawings. We attempt to have an informative speaker at each meeting and suggestions are welcome. Membership is $10. Our calendar includes at least two day trips to dinner theaters and the annual Christmas party. The first trip (sold out) of the season is to the Shore Club for Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons tribute show with transportation, a sit down dinner, and open bar (beer, wine, soda for 1 hour). The spring trip is in the planning stages.

Delran resident/members pay $25 while nonresident/nonmembers pay $100. The December Christmas Party takes the place of the December meeting with the date to be announced. For more information call Betty Jewell at 856-461-2767 or email [email protected].

Delran Historical Society

Next Meeting Tuesday, Sept. 19. The Delran Historical Society meets on the third Tuesday of the month at the Delran Township Municipal Building located at 900 Chester Avenue. The meetings are in Community Room 3 and start at 7 p.m.
