A message from Mayor Joanne Gattinelli for the week of July 5

Senior Center Event

Senior Center Members – Chief Patrick Gurcsik and I would like to invite you to come join Washington Township Council members and Washington Township police officers, as we celebrate a “Christmas in July” themed luncheon. This fun fill event will include a complimentary BBQ lunch which will be cooked and served by our officers. A huge thank you to the Chiango Family and Egizi Funeral home for sponsoring the BBQ food and entertainment, by The John Monforto Variety Show. Thank you to Duffields for donating salads and condiments and Aversa’s Bakery for the yummy desserts. Members will receive free raffle tickets for the prizes and there will be a door prize from myself. We will be handing out party favors and ice cream from the Freeze Pop Washington Township Police Department (WTPD) ice cream truck. Let’s not forget a guest appearance by Santa.

Shop Washington Township

I am happy to see the Shop Washington Township program continue to grow and thrive. My office and our economic development consultant have been in contact with many business owners who are looking to join the program. We are excited to see which businesses join next! There have also been a large amount of residents logging in to the Property Tax Card website and registering their cards. If you would like a list of the current participating businesses, as well as what rebates they are offering, you can visit the website at https://www.propertytaxcard.com/ShopWashingtonTownship/participants.

The list of businesses are also listed on the Township website at https://www.twp.washington.nj.us/. If you are a merchant interested in joining the Shop Washington Township program, you may contact our Economic Development Consultant, Nancy Mozzachio at nmozzachio@twp.washington.nj.us or at (856) 589-0520 ext. 2261.

This will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. and a Rock and Roll band playing Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. in Washington Lake Park. We hope to see you all out there!
