Free tree seedlings will be available to Washington Township residents on May 7 as part of the New Jersey Forest Service’s New Jersey Tree Recovery Campaign.

Residents will be able to pick up tree seedlings between 9:00 am and Noon at Parking Lot J, near the Greentree Road entrance to Washington Lake Park.

Super Saturday is back from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Join the community at Washington Lake Park for a day full of food trucks, fun vendors, live music, a petting zoo, inflatable rides, giveaways and so much more.

The Sustainable Washington Township Green Team and the Rotary Club of Washington Township are collaborating with local health care organizations to sponsor a special free testing opportunity to determine if children are at risk for lead poisoning during the Super Saturday event. The screening event is being held in collaboration with Virtua Pediatric Mobile Services and the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative.

Deadline May 25

Join Washington Township Youth Cheer for a season of fun. Registration is open for football cheerleading and recreational competition cheerleading for ages 5-15 and grades K-8 as of Sept. 30.

Mandatory equipment/uniform sizing and parent meeting on May 30 and June 8 at the Senior Center, 315 Greentree Road. Interested cheerleaders ages 5-10 at 6 p.m. and ages 11-15 at 7 p.m.
