Thursday to Saturday, March 16-18

The Washington Township High School Way-Off-Broadway Players, under the direction of drama teacher Abby Molotsky, will present the wildly popular musical “Mamma Mia!” from March 16-18 in the school’s Republic Bank Performing Arts Center, 519 Hurffville Crosskeys Road, Sewell.

Show times for performances are 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18. A 2 p.m. matinee performance also is planned for Saturday, March 18. Tickets for all shows are $15 each and can be purchased online at https://wthsnj.booktix.com. All seating is reserved seating.

Saturday, March 18

March is Tire Amnesty Month. Participate in Gloucester County Tire Amnesty’s program with tire drop offs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex, 493 Monroeville Road (Route 694), South Harrison Township. There is a special Saturday drop off from 8 a.m. to noon March 18.

Participation is limited to Gloucester County residents only. Limit 10 per residence. For more information call the GCIA/Office of Recycling at 856-478-6045.

Tuesday, March 21

The Washington Township Board of Education regular session will be held on March 21 beginning at 7 p.m. in the board room of the Eileen Abbott Central Administration building, 206 E. Holly Ave., Sewell.

Through Friday, March 17

Register for Washington Township Parks and Recreation Youth Tennis League 2023 is open through March 17. The league is for children ages 5-18.

In-person registration at the recreation office will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Late registration is from March 20-31.

Sunday, March 19

The Interact Club will hold a Color Run for Autism Awareness from 10 a.m. to noon on March 19 outside of Washington Township High School, 519 Hurfville Crosskeys Road, Sewell.

Thursday March 23, Wednesday March 29

College-bound students can explore 100 plus programs of study offered at Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) during Open House events from 6-8 p.m. March 23 at the Gloucester campus and March 29 at the Cumberland campus.

The Gloucester campus Open House will be held in the Physical Education Center gymnasium. The Cumberland campus Open House will be held in the Student Services Center gymnasium. For directions and to RSVP, visit RCSJ.edu/OpenHouse.

Thursday, March 30

The Washington Township High School Counseling Department will host its 21st Annual College and Career Fair, sponsored by Jefferson Health and in partnership with the New Jersey Association for College Admission Counseling (NJACAC) from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 30 in the school’s 9/10 gymnasium and cafeteria.

For the first time, the Fair is being hosted during the school day. All high school students from all grade levels will be given the opportunity to attend.

Saturday, April 29

Washington Township Public Schools Department of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) will host its inaugural Convening/Career Fair “Creating, Centering and Sustaining Equity” at 8:30 a.m. on April 29 at Washington Township High School, 529 Hurffville-Crosskeys Road, Sewell.
