The Washington Township Police Department has released photos of a black Dodge Charger believed to be involved in an alleged armed robbery outside a township home on Feb. 14.
The robbery was reported at approximately 9 p.m., according to police, when the 26-year old female victim finished work and stopped at the TD Bank in Glassboro to use the ATM. The victim said she observed a black Dodge Charger sitting in the drive-through line next to her vehicle as she made a transaction and left the bank, police said.
As the victim approached her house, she noticed “the same black Charger” parked in the street, police said. She was then approached by a heavy-set Black male, aged 30 to 40, wearing black pants and a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt. He was allegedly pointing what the woman believed to be a small, black Glock handgun at her and subsequently demanded her purse before entering the passenger side of the Charger and fleeing.
The vehicle was spotted in the area of Route 42 at a Walmart by patrol units. Officers attempted a stop, but the car fled at a high rate of speed, police said.
