The Spotted Lanternfly is an invasive species shown to have an adverse impact on agriculture and trees. The New Jersey Department of Agriculture offers a comprehensive web page with information about the insects as well as resources for homeowners and businesses.
The Department recommends that if you see egg masses to scrape them off, double bag and throw away. You can also place the eggs into alcohol, bleach or hand sanitizer to kill them.
