Reported threats against William Allen Middle School found not credible

Township’s police department continues to provide additional presence at school.

CHRISTINE HARKINSON/The Sun: The Moorestown police department received several reports of threats against William Allen Middle School by a student via Snapchat on June 4. Police determined the reports were not credible.

On June 4 the Moorestown Police Department received several reports that threats were being made against the William Allen Middle School by a student via Snapchat.

The incident was investigated, and it was determined the threat was not credible. At this time, a comprehensive search of the school property has been completed by employees from the Moorestown Township Public Schools, officers from the Moorestown Township Police Department and investigators from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office.

Officers from the Moorestown Township Police Department will continue to provide an additional presence at the school. Please contact our Criminal Investigations Bureau at 856-914-3039 if you require additional information.
