Moorestown Ecumenical Neighborhood Development (MEND) held its annual “Fun” Raiser at The Venue at Lenola in Moorestown, with nearly 200 people in attendance. Event proceeds will help MEND continue to keep rents at below-market levels, thus easing the costs for current and future residents who can then better afford other necessities like food, clothing and health care.
The fun and lively event featured delicious food, a silent auction, dancing, live entertainment provided by The David Christopher Band and beer/wine tasting from local breweries and wineries such as Double Nickel Brewery, Dr. Brewlittle’s Beer, The Valenzano Family Winery and Versi Vino. This year’s generous sponsors include Dr. Lucy Rorke-Adams (in loving memory of Boyce M. Adams), Dietz & Watson, Garrison Architects, Kitchen and Associates, Marsh McLennan Agency and Holman Enterprises.
“After taking a hiatus from our main event the last couple of years, we were thrilled to bring the community together to celebrate our 53rd anniversary in a big way,” said Eileen Wirth, president and CEO of MEND. “We are incredibly grateful for all attendees, generous sponsors and community partners who supported the event. Events like this help us continue our mission of providing affordable, safe and comfortable housing opportunities for those in need. We are looking forward to our next event, our Annual Friends of MEND Golf Outing coming this September.”
