The Moorestown Public School District is seeking the community’s input on district communications. Beginning this week, the district will begin to seek feedback from staff, parents of students and community members on how they receive information and whether they consider the communication to be effective.
The communication surveys are conducted online in a secure portal and take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Questions revolve primarily around the district’s communication mechanisms, the effectiveness of communications in key areas of importance to each audience and whether the communication is considered to be accurate, timely and trustworthy. Participants can access the surveys from desktop computers, laptops as well as most tablets and smartphones. The surveys are available in both English and Spanish and participation is completely anonymous. Surveys will also be accessible on the district’s website under the District Info menu.
The online portal opened on March 14 and constituents will have until March 27 to participate. Since the reliability of the results increases with the percentage of people taking the surveys, participation is significant. “We strongly encourage Moorestown residents as well as our employees to complete the survey online,” stated Mr. Volpe, superintendent of Moorestown Public School District. “The feedback we receive from our stakeholders will undoubtedly help guide the process of improving our district communications in the future.”
