Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity announces two new board members who will each help support the nonprofit’s work of building affordable housing in the county.
“We’re excited to expand our board with two new members, Joe Brigandi and Kristen Whyte. Both Joe and Kristen are bringing diverse expertise and insight to our work,” said Board President Ronda Abbruzzese. “We have worked diligently to ensure Habitat for Humanity’s board and leadership represents a variety of experts and the newest board members are no exception.”
As a former Gloucester County freeholder and the executive director of economic development in Glassboro, Brigandi brings over 20 years of accomplishments in the business and government-related fields. Whyte, the director of internships and career planning at Rowan College at Gloucester County comes to Habitat for Humanity with over 13 years of higher education leadership experience.
“Joe brings extensive experience and knowledge to assist with fostering and moving forward the mission of Habitat for Humanity. And with Kristen’s passion in working with students, with a focus on helping them to discover purpose while achieving their dreams, lines perfectly with our mission. We are very pleased to have both join the Board of Directors for Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity,” said Abbruzzese.
Now in its 36th year, Gloucester County Habitat’s board is responsible for establishing policy and guiding the organization’s efforts to build affordable housing in partnership with families in Gloucester County.
