The Medford-Vincentown Rotary Club will host the 16th annual Thanks-Giving Community Spiritual Breakfast on Thanksgiving Eve, an event paused last year because of COVID.
The club has held the event for years, with past attendance of up to 200 people, according to Rotarian Dave Stow. This year, the buffet breakfast will be held on Nov 24 at 7:30 a.m., at the Medford Lakes Country Club in Medford Lakes
Honorary attendees will include this year’s keynote speaker, Rev. David Krilov, from the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, and other pastors from local churches. During the event’s first half, the Junior Seneca High School ROTC will present colors and a tribute to men and women who serve in military uniform.
In addition to the ROTC, soloists from both Shawnee and Seneca high schools will sing, and a poet from one of the schools will recite a Thanksgiving poem.
“It’s just a great way of starting off the holiday,” Stow said of the event. “It gives everybody a few moments to stop and slow down on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving before just jumping into family turkey and football.”
Tickets for the event are $18. Any funds raised will benefit the Gift of Life Program. Reservations can be made by contacting Stow at (609) 953-7600
