The Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club has announced their Community Service Award honorees for 2021. Michelle Nocito has been chosen as Voorhees Businessperson of the Year, William Walenda and Rubab Sameer Sarfraz have been chosen as Voorhees Citizens of the Year and Diya Shyam, an Eastern High School student, has been chosen as Voorhees Selfless Student of the Year.
Inspired by their motto, “Service above Self,” the Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club has been formally recognizing others in the community who live by the same credo for the past 13 years.
Award winners will be honored during the Voorhees Community Service Awards Dinner on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Lucien’s Distinguished Catering in Berlin, New Jersey. The awards ceremony will follow a sumptuous celebration which will include hors d’oeuvres, a served, sit-down dinner and dessert, with wine and beer available all evening. It is requested that all guests be fully vaccinated.
The cost to attend the Voorhees Community Service Awards Dinner is $90 per attendee or $700 for a table of eight. Those wishing to make reservations should send a check payable to “Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club Foundation” to the Voorhees Breakfast Rotary Club, P.O. Box 1645, Voorhees, NJ 08043. Credit cards also are accepted.
Program ads are also available for individuals and organizations wishing to show their support. Ad prices range from $250 for a full-page (4.5”w x 7.5”); $140 for a half-page (4.5”w x 3.75”) and $75 for a quarter-page (2.25”w x 3.75”). Ads should be emailed to [email protected] and payment should be sent to the address above. The deadline for submitting ad requests is December 31, 2021.
